My Unique Lens
-
At the core of my perspective with the voice, is the belief that the ‘work’ itself is the return to what is natural. It’s the remembering that even amidst the struggles, the ‘destination’ is a place where we are at home — guided by natural impulses, and an ease within our way. It’s a return home to the voice that is connected to the feeling of the body, and to the unique song and sound that has a place in the orchestra of this life. The process with the voice is, at its core, about loving relating and patient tending.

My approach to Voice Therapy is grounded in the understanding that your voice—how you express, relate, and communicate—didn’t form in isolation. It was shaped by your earliest relationships, where patterns of safety, connection, and belonging were either nurtured or fractured.
Honoring this relational imprint is central to the work. Together, we’ll bring loving presence and vibrational warmth to the places in your nervous system that don’t know the feeling of being met in presence.

For women, this is a time of profound opportunity to unravel centuries of silencing and suppression. I believe that when we restore our natural voice, it is also a journey of embodying feminine principles of softening, listening, and trusting, and releasing old patterns of efforting, overriding, manipulating and proving. It is a journey into the body, where a natural strength resides, such that the voice is an emanation of the heart, and an embodied and congruent expression of one’s truth. From this place of undefending the heart, we access a purity of fire that guides in our way of brining our voice and ourself into our world. It also shifts the way we relate to other women — disarming patterns of competition into celebration. We are each others greatest allies.
-
Your voice is more than a tool—it’s a barometer of your inner world. It reflects your nervous system, your relational history, and your present-moment truth.
In this work, we attune to the voice—not just the words you speak, but the energy, tremble, tone, and struggle underneath. We use your own sound as medicine, to regulate the nervous system, move stagnant energy, and restore coherence between body, heart, and voice.

Injuries around our voice can create feelings of doubt and insecurity in group environments, and in our expression and contribution to the group space. Through this healing path, we begin to rebuild the sense of trust in our relationship with our self, and how we communicate and express. As a result, life begins to mirror back to us experiences, and community environments that are a reflection of increased safety and sense of home within Self.

Integrated in the lens I see through is the impact of developmental trauma and the unspoken, ancestral stories that shape one’s patterns with the voice. I believe that many women are here at this time to unload generations of repression, as well as to liberate their art, their heart, and their voice. As such, I see this work as not just personal, but deeply interconnected to the threads of time. It is not just for one’s own healing, but also for the children, our ancestral lines, and for the anchoring of more play, joy, art and celebration on the planet.

As a ritualist, as well as a therapeutic practitioner, I know that it is through holding a spacious container, that the unseen forces, and the intelligence of your nervous system, can work, can move, can heal. Part of my role as witness, is to hold a space to support your own relationship with yourself, your body, and with the mystery of your Soul’s healing path.

Essential to the voice is the relationship to receiving—whether through food, care, or relationships. Often times, patterns we’ve developed around the voice have been used as a way to protect the heart and keep us safe. This can show up through styles of speaking that keep people away, and prevent us from receiving the nourishment of intimacy. Or it can be a pattern of holding back our words and feelings, which can then translate to challenged, or addictive patterns, with food, or drugs. The work with the voice is deeply intertwined with nourishment.

The pelvis and the jaw are anatomically, energetically, emotionally and spiritually connected. To work with the voice, is also to invite in the connection with where we speak from, the quality of how we inhabit our body. For those in female bodies, there is an invitation into the work of womb reconnection, and healing around our sexuality, such that are voice is informed by the embodiment of these wise & sacred centers of life and life force.
